No Smiles

Today was a rough day.

Computer went Blue Screen: No Smiles

Fight with boyfriend: No Smiles

Cried and felt unloved: No Smiles

I tried to smile and then, wait a minute...maybe this can be a no smile day.

Somehow that comforted me.

Then I remembered someone said I had an indomitable will.

What the heck is that?

I looked it up.

IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT!!

I said, THAT'S ME and guess what?

I smiled. :) just a little.

Extra Special Help

Momma said there would be THOSE days.

And last night was that one.

It was a little more difficult to get that smile thing going this morning so..........

I decided to ask for some  extra special help, from the angels.

I asked them to help me smile and to show me what I needed to resolve that issue so I could get back to smiling.

I had the opportunity to reflex for about 30 minutes and

SHAZAM!!!

Issue resolved and back to smiling.

If you don't believe in angels, or universal consciousness or whatever your belief system is, then don't despair. Everything works out, go to your heart (even place your hand over your heart), think of a wonderful experience that made you feel good and then ask what do I need to do to resolve my__________ or this__________ for the highest and best good for me/all.

If you don't smile, try and try again and I promise...you will smile.

If not, I have a surprise for tomorrow that will get you howling. :)

Mirror Smile

or Fake it till you make it!!

Sometimes you wake up and just don't feel like smiling.

Hmmmmmm....what to do.

I decided to look in the mirror and smile.

Oh my.

I couldn't help but start giggling. Maybe I should call this giggle smiles.

So I thought, today everytime I go by a mirror, I'm going to look myself straight in the eye and give myself a big ol' smile.

This is going to be an interesting day, don't you think?

Nighty night smile

I remember my parents saying, Good night. Sleep tight. Dont let the bed bugs bite.

Geez, way to go to scare the little kids but we never really knew what it meant. :)

If you want to sleep "tight",

Think of something pleasant, a feel good memory and SMILE.

And maybe all your worries will just melt away for the night.

Nighty night. :)

Smile Science

Smiling:

1. Increase endorphines, those feel good hormones.
2. Reduces anxiety.
3. Lowers blood pressure.
4. Lowers heart rate.
5. Reduces stress.

It gets even better:
1. Smiling induces positive emotions equivalent to the feeling of gettting 19,000.00 dollars.
2. If you smile often enough, you end up rewiring your brain to make positive patterns more often.
3. Happy adults smile an average of 40-50 smiles per day. Children on average smile 400 times a day. The average adult only smiles 20 times a day.

The best is yet to come.

FAT FREE SMILING
Researchers tested 109 people by showing them photos of various people smiling, giving them chocolate and money, and then measuring their brain activity and heart rate to interpret responses to the stimuli.

1. That a smile of a friend was equivalent to 200 bars of chocolate.
2. A smile from a lover one was equivalent to 600 bars of chocolate.
3. The smile of a child was equivalent to 2000 bars of chocolate.

So what are you waiting for. SMILE. :)

Is it hard to smile today?

Life happens.

Maybe you are having a difficult time physically Today or
Maybe you argued with a loved one or
Maybe you heard some sad news.

Sometimes you dont feel like smiling, but smile anyway.

Acknowledge the difficulty then,

Smile into the knee pain
Smile into the relationship
Smile into the sadness
Smile into whatever it is because it's not what happens to us, it's how we respond.

Smiling can open up your consciousness to a new solution.

So try,  to smile.

Could it be?

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face.

Didn't think about it.

Just did.

Wow.

Analyze: Last night was the first time that I wrote before bed. Was it that? Or is consciously being aware of smiling for short periods of time just creating new neural pathways and rewiring my brain for happiness?

This is a hmmmm and definitely encouraging me to keep going with this.

If I smile, and I'm alone, will anyone notice?

OoooooooooOOOOOOOOOH

What do you think?

If you are smiling, sitting there on that porch, rocking in the rockin chair and enjoy the sounds of the crickets and you smile????

Is that smile like a pepple dropped in the pond that ripples outward and outward?

Is it like the butterfly effect?

Something to ponder?

Smiling tonight as I have the whole place to myself! Ok it's in the middle of winter, snow is on the mountains, I don't hear crickets or a porch but I have a deck and birds chirping.

Smile.....:)

Gratitude smiles

Wow!

Shower time:

One built in shower seat.
Unlimited hot water.
Gratitude
Smile

I loveeeeee hot showers. Something very soothing about water for me. Wasting water, money and chlorine stopped me from enjoying that indulgence.
UNTIL.....
About 5 years ago, purchased land, built a house, dug a well and put in an on demand water heater.
Now...I occasionally indulge in that long, hot, relaxing shower.

My Point?

As I was enjoying todays shower, I had a wave of gratitude. Then I smiled. :).....

Hmmmmmm, I thought.

Gratitude is a big thing in self healing/spiritual circles. But what if when we write or say or think about something that we are grateful for and physically smile? Go ahead....belly laugh if you want.

Enjoy the day.

S.M.I.L.E.

Today I felt a little down...well, it's only a little down. I used to have more extremes....some days I could be high up on the teeter totter, or way down. Now, I am mostly even, though I dip from time to time.

I remembered yesterdays post and began to smile. Funny how that just puts a different flavor on the day, or the moment. Is it going to be a chocolate chip day or an orange sherbert day?

I thought it would be fun to take each letter of smile and write a word for each letter describing how a smile makes me feel.

S-Sunny. When I smile I feel all happy inside.
M-Magical. How can something so simple, make me feel so wonderful. It is magical!
I-Insight Especially if I am by myself, I ponder the things of the smile and then I smile again.
L-Love A smile is like a bucket of love was dropped in my heart.
E-Extra Special Because I am loving myself.

A smile can be a stepping stone to loving ourselves first and then others.

S.M.I.L.E. What is yours?

A Smile is a smile is a smile :)

What did make me smile yesterday?

The setup:
We put a ton of hay out in the field for the horses while we are gone. It's wrapped in a netting so they don't gorge themselves.

The situation:
20 mule deer were passing through and Scar (the old rodeo horse) is watching them intently.
They slowly and stealthily move closer to the tempting treat...THE HAY.

What happens:
Scar moves toward the hay and the mule deer leave. NO WAY is Scar going to let anyone get his food!!

Smile, Smile, Smile!!

I just created a smile memory. We can use these smile memories when we are having a difficult day. All we have to do is remember and there will be a guaranteed smile. Why? You can be happy and sad at the same time can you?

So keep that smile memory in your back pocket and pull it out when you need it.

Have a wonderful day. :)

Outer smile, inner smile or

is it inner smile, outer smile? Or?

What makes you smile?

Is it that thing that makes your lips part and your eyes crinkle or is it a soft, sweet, smile that maybe no one even notices?

No matter what...when I smile, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

So? What makes you smile?😎

Beginnings

When you smile, I smile in my heart. I skip around like a little school girl, all giddy and such. The smile in your heart makes me the happiest person. Ok, so I am selfish…I like feeling good, I like seeing the world happy and I can do that every day if I have a smile in my heart. BECAUSE if I do…then maybe you will have a smile in your heart too.

Be careful, it’s contagious, it spreads like wildfire.

It can change the world.

Not sure where this will lead….but I counted to ten and ready or not, HERE I AM.

Are you smiling yet?
